sunny sunny spain... here i come...

3 more weeks, 3 more exams papers, and i will be on my way to sunny spain!! not for very long, cos we need to move over to germany ta the end of march to settle the paperwork and register for the new semester at the technical university of hamburg-harburg (TUHH), but nevertheless it should be a nice 9 days where the sun will be the theme!!

ever since sickening kelvin decided to pull the plug on our 2-week backpacking trip switzerland/germany during the first 2 weeks of april, i have been casting my sight over places like southern portugal, neighbouring spain, and even the mysterious ireland (st patrick's festival) and scotland... well, ireland + scotland is the first choice, given the chance to party for 5 whole days during the festival and the opportunity to drive around scotland, but cost and the availability of accommodation in ireland put an end to those ambitious plans....

southern portugal + spain sounds good too.... but leandro said that certain parts of southern portugal are pretty inaccessible without a car, and that the landscape is pretty similar to the rest of portugal; that spain will be a better choice... so spain it is then!!!

spent 5 days in barcelona last summer, but this time round, my travel kaki alexis is a native speaker, so maybe i will have a lot more fun this time... dont get me wrong, we had plenty of fun last summer, but this time, we will be meeting some of alexis' friends in spain... so i may get to visit the less touristy places... my liking... =)
