the prof quoted this in the afternoon:

"in portugal, there are only 2 TEMs (transmission electron mircoscopy) and one is in the university of aveiro...am i lucky or what!? also, here we have a 15-year-old SEM (scanning electron microscopy)..."

looks like what madhavi told me earlier is true... =(

back in ntu, we have 4 SEMs, including one FESEM (field emission SEM) + 1 TEM....
