"Parasite--ing" in NTU / visa application

Quitting NTU is easy, trying to stay on is hard... have to give a month's notice i.e. my stay in NTU will officially end on the 30th sept

On another note, applying for a study visa is soooooo tedious, guess i am just too spolit, been thinking that doing anything in Singapore is a breeze... whatever irks you because of the slow process, we can just complain and things will be solved by itself, better still, write in to any newspaper to complain...

what must be done, will be done:

i) to beg my way to my certificate of no-conviction from CID (the person said 2 weeks of processing time--- I am sooo dead)

ii) to get my plane ticket (no airlines fly to Porto at a reasonable rate, and Lisbon is 250km away from Aveiro--- how bad it is will be? try multipling exponentially by the amount of lugguage)

iii) to fly to bangkok personally to get my visa done (in case you are wondering, they don't have an embassy in Singapore)

Introduction

who would ever thought that I will ever withdrew from my PHD candidature? Everyone was like: "Portugal? why portugal?"

maybe it's just my instinct... been living a relatively sheltered life in my little island, it's time for me to grow up and secure my own independence. just like backpacking, going to europe this time is definitely full of uncertainties, unknowns... time to throw all common senses out of the window, and start doing what I always wanted...
