weekend happenings

lesson #1: dont ever play football on hardcourt when it starts to drizzle... my arse is hurting now too... big bruise....oh thats the side of my knee... whoa, its scary if i have such a hairy arse...hahahaha....lesson #2: never leave things until the last min... applies to everything including studying... think the past 5 weeks of studying is taking its toll on me... i haven been exactly studying very hard, but still, i haven been playing and relaxing as compared to my first 3 months here in portugal.... abraham (classmate) said this to me yesterday:" i dont know why, but i seem to feel so tired everytime i start studying these days" argh!!! another 2 weeks to go... have to bear with it...

was taking a break and staring through the glass door of the kitchen at the little flying insects gather at the lamp in the balcony, when leandro said this to me:" are you looking at the onions growing??" hahahaha... cos the basket containing the onions happens to be below the lamp and some of them are sprouting... oh man, he must have thought that his tenent is going crazy.... "crazy chinese and their crazy habits!" hahahha... i said that, not him...

lesson #3: i'm losing my chinese roots... both in terms of ability to speak and understand the language and the behavior of a typical chinese (well, at least from singapore)... saw this chinese post-doc while on my way to the supermarket.... even though i dont know him well (met him only once or twice), i felt compelled to chat with him... and i couldnt understand what he was saying... and when he repeated the previous sentence, i still could not understand... then i did the next best thing, i just said:" oh yeah, alright i have to go, see you again.." (in mandrian of course)...what a freaking hypocrite!!! also, nowadays, when i see some lady friends, i will do that kiss-on-both-cheeks-greeting... it just come naturally now... hahahha... what am i doing to do when i get back to singapore... hahahaha...

trivial #1: finally met leandro's mum this morning... hahaha... she was so kind and nice... cant understand what she was saying but certain facial expressions come straight from the heart, there is no disguising of that... nice lady... i always have an affinity with older ladies.....

trivial #2: realized that the pics of the eclipse that i took last night were so awful... so here's a replacement pic to show how beautiful the actual event was... another 5months and we will get another one... its rare to have 2 in a year... trivial #3: i saw the show beethoven II earlier... the one where the male doggie fell head-over-heels in love with the female equivalent... and the female doggie ended up with 4 babies... and i fell head-over-heels in love with the puppies.... i wanna have a dog too!!!!!!!! hahahahaha....
